Fixing Alienware M15x Audio Crackling

The kind of trouble that most commonly found on Alienware M15x speaker is sound crackling. The problem is suspected to be caused by a poor power distribution, or the power is interrupting the audio output. When power is supplied through the mains, it is constantly feeding a current through, whereas on battery, the exact amount of power at any one time is given. This constant supply of power is believed to affect the audio.
However, there is no time for keeping on being frustrated should you be on this kind of trouble. There must be a certain way to overcome it. Say you have a M15X with this problem of crackling, you can end the problem by simply turning on the AlienwareFX should you run on AC power, but do not set it to dim. And if you run on battery, you can choose to turn the AlienwareFX either on or off. This simple step was proven in some cases to have worked with or without WASAPI.

Power Saving Problem on Asus 1000HE PC

Power saving mode on Asus 1000HE Eee PC forces sleep state is another issue found from the 1000HE Eee PC user. Each time 1000HE switching to power saving mode then the laptop goes to sleep in around 30 second later. It happened if the AC power is still connected, to make it running well then this user change it to power saving mode. He has changed all the power management settings to always on.

Since the problem of 1000HE with power saving mode above sounds like a malfunctioning hardware switch that tells the OS to go into standby, which means no software solution will take care of the problem. You can try to resolve by use the shortcut keys Fn + Zz which by default puts 1000HE into standby.

Other method you can try to do to fix the power saving mode forces sleep state on Asus Eee PC 1000HE:

- Go to Advanced Tab under power option properties.
- Set “when lid closes” option to enter standby

That’s mean for any reason when in the power saving state the 1000HE gets the signal that the user closed the lid, the HE Eee PC will go into standby mode.
